Info & Help
This the online store where prints and original artwork can be purchased from the artists Gizelle Del Rosario (Airam) & Robert Young (PixelsPencil). There are many new pieces planned and we are both always looking at new works to do. We may consider collaborations and also adding other artists to the store at a later date but for now it is just us.
Our prints
Our prints are limited runs of 20 (or 40 depending on demand) of each piece and once sold their will be no more printed. Each print is individually proofed, stamped, signed and numbered.
Note: The print number you get will depend on the number of prints that have been sold. Reserving a particular numbered print (e.g. "print #1") is not available at this time.
Each print is printed on high quality 200GSM paper and each print is proofed before being sent out to each buyer.
Postage
Items will be sent in padded envelopes and kept flat with foamboard either side of the piece. Large pieces will be sent in a box with enough packing to keep them flat in transit. Larger pieces cost more to send and this is reflected in the postage listed for these items. Originals will be posted via courier and insured.
Postage for A4 items is £10 per first item and for each additional item you add £1 more. Anything larger will have the postage listed on the items page e.g. Original items are items larger than A4. An example of this would be this: Person X orders two prints @ £10.00 each, postage for these items together would be £6 (£5 + £1). The same postage amount applies worldwide.
We do not provide frames for prints nor do we advise posting frames in the post - in most cases the frame will not survive the transit.
Post and packaging for original artwork is still being considered as these pieces will be originals and worth so much more so we need to figure out the best way to send these. This will be updated soon.
Pricing
Each print is priced based on the amount of time and effort gone in to each piece. We only print a limited run of each print so availability of each piece will normally be restricted to 20 which we hope will make these prints more valuable to those that make a purchase. Each print is proofed, stamped, numbered and signed by each artist.
Currency conversion
If you are buying from a country other than the UK you will need to convert the price total you have in your basket so you know how much your order will cost you in your currency, please use this site: xe.com
About Airam
Airam AKA Gizelle Del Rosario says: "Art has stayed with me and developed and grown and now I cannot imagine wanting to do anything else. It keeps me happy, expressing my love for detail in food, particularly 'Mushrooms'... and no, it's not the one that makes you mellow! Here, I also express my emptiness of space and for more fulfilment like a colouring book. I have strong influences from comic and street culture. I love creating cute characters, hand lettering, portraits and always use biros, fineliners, ink and watercolors." Airam's Website
About PixelsPencil
PixelsPencil AKA Robert Young says: "My creativity stems from a young age when I used to pick up anything that could make a mark on paper. I have developed my creative skills starting with Fine Art in higher education and progressing to my degree subject, Graphic Design, in 2002. After graduating I pursued web/interactive design and code – I neglected my drawing for years! I feel stupid for doing that… if you see some of my old stuff from 1998 you would curse me… I’m trying to get back to my old standard!
The end of 2010 alot of bad stuff happened to me and it kind of kicked my ass back in to drawing… I got told I could lose the use of my left arm off the back of a bad cycling accident in which I tore my Rotator Cuff 3 places, the main chunk of muscles and tendons that control the movement of your arm and parts of your shoulder. That was a massive warning to get back in to drawing. Shortly after the accident my Grandfather passed away due to ill health. Both these bad things became a huge catalyst to get back in to my natural talent… and in doing so helped me deal with the pain at the time of both incidents.
My drawing/illustration style is heavily influenced by Brian Wood, Ashley Wood, Mike Mignola, Frank Miller, Humberto Ramos, John Romita Jr, Jim Mahfood, Skottie Young and many others.
